(no subject)
Okay, so blatantly ignoring any events that have occured as of late... except for this one cuz it's little and irrelevant. So, I was hanging out w/the guy down the street out at the cottage, and the two of us were gonna take his motorcycle into town to buy some beverages for later in the evening (he's 21, and we were gonna have a bonfire later w/some of the other Dexter kids.) Anyway, as we're about to walk out the door, his mom says "Make sure that Amanda wears the white helmet." He got this funny look on his face and was like "Why?" So I thought maybe there was something wrong or really nerdy w/the white helmet. Then his mom told him because it was safe, and he responded with "well what does she have to do with it? Is she coming?" At this point I was really offended, and a little confused, because he had JUST said "hey why don't we ride into town" like two minutes ago. Then he followed up w/ "I thought she went to Traverse City." Yeah... it definitely didn't connect to him that Mandy was short for Amanda... and so he assumed that Amanda was actually my sister, Ashley. Way to go for us U of M kids!!
