I like having lots of people around. There's no where to be lonely and almost too much laughter.

I'm enjoying my cousin Amber in particular, whom I haven't seen for two years. She's been through the wringer with EDs too, and for the first time I've found someone (besides Chuck, who also tells me what to do), who understands exactly how I'm feeling. It also helps that we have lots of similar interests, likes, and hopes. Even with Liz and Emily and my other friends the conversation lapses into awkward silence sometimes while both of us frantically try to think of something to say. Amber and I talked a lot today, a little about EDs, but mostly about music, homeschooling, books, cooking, and anything else that came up.

The two of us went to see Mamma Mia this afternoon, which we loved. Pierce Brosnan isn't the best singer, but he pulled it off, and Meryl Streep is fantastic. We listened (and sang along!) to ABBA songs all the way in the car, went to Chapters, where she introduced me to the complete bliss of Starbucks Chai Lattés, and then went to supper at a favorite vegetarian restaurant. (Amber's a strict vegan.) I wish I had someone like her around all the time.

Oh, and Helen, you'll be glad to know that we watched License to Steele together last night and she liked it. I'm sure more RS will follow before she leaves!
