Saw V for Vendetta. Liked it, ultimately, but it has a curious tendency toward extremes: when it follows the source material, it follows exactly. When it departs, it departs entirely. When it's good, it's quite fine. (V and Evey are excellent, Valerie flashbacks and Camp Doctor revenge scene are quite powerful, beautiful imagery.) When it's awful, it's godawful. (The pacing is miserable, characters communicate exclusively by grandiose speeches, the politics are watered down to pre-teen simplicity.)
So that's my three cents.
