and we're back...
And just like that, America came and went. But actually, the two weeks and a couple of days I was there felt like a lot longer, though in the end I didn't get to do nearly half the things I had wanted to do (especially Austin things), and I saw maybe a quarter of all the people I wanted to see - and by 'saw', I mean actually hung out with and had a conversation with, not ran into at a show for 5 minutes at a time. And there was definitely not enough time for eating all the food I wanted to eat, though that's probably better for my already expanded post-Texas belly.
Speaking of extended bellies, I went to my first ever baby shower, where I got to hang out with a lot of old friends, and that was pretty awesome. Otherwise, my time was spent running around shows in Austin, going out to West Texas for a day and seeing UFOs, and some downtime with the parents in Houston. Pictures will follow.
