I was working at a design studio in Aurora. It was sort of an amalgam of different places that I've worked. They told me that I had to courier a job to a client. The client was at Kennedy and Somewhere (in Scarborough). They would pay me for the time, so I agreed. I had to take the Viva down to Toronto but first I had to walk to the stop. The stop was very far away and it took me a couple of hours to walk.

Along the way these two young boys started harassing me, calling me names, trying to get the folder with the client's work, throwing things, etc. A young girl started walking with me as well. I knew her, but she wasn't anyone from real life.

These boys were making the journey awful, so we figured out a way to hide from them, and then double-back. We ran for the Viva and got on, laughing. We'd escaped them! Then I realised I didn't have a ticket. I turned to the girl, she was now Charlotte, and she didn't have a ticket either. She was really upset but the bus driver said he would stop at the next stop and let us get off and get tickets and get back on.

But then the bus driver said he had no time to do that, they were right behind him, so we sped the way to the subway. Charlotte and I got on, took our seats, and I decided to look at the work I was giving to the client. I nearly took it out of the envelope when I woke up.
