(no subject)
sooooo tomorrow's the actual ap world history exam. 12-4. eeek. im' not really worried. i've studied so much that i really am not sure what to study next. i've done all the practice exam multiple choice. that's a solid 340 multiple choice. there's really not much else. i'll be fine.
i'm really hoping for a 4 on this. not that i'll be upset if i don't... but it'd deifitely be so nice, and i won't have to take it in college if they accept it.
right now i think im more worried about what im going to wear 2morrow than the actual exam. something is wrong.
deb and i stayed home today. we got together and studied. spent an hour in wegmans and met this guy that knew a bunch of sha girls. woo. we reviewed all the dynasties in china:
shang --> zhou/chou --> qin --> han --> tang --> song --> yuan --> manchu/ming
yesssss.
shang- basically a major trading place, kind of isolated
zhou/chou- big on beauracracy, and something else. fuck.
qin- only a decade or so. great wall of china, legalism big. that's the only reason it's mentioned.
han- taken over by conqueror wu ti. flourished. sundials, compasses, metals, the works.
tang and song- major periods, great economic growth, basically a chinese renaissance. great road networks, whatever. tang-- poetry big, song-- encyclopedias and manuals big... new printing processes
yuan- mongol ruled. defnitely a nice time, i'm thinking isolationism set in here.
manchu/ming- ruled up until 1912. dont really know much about it, i'd imagine they practiced strict isolationism because they thought they were really quite mighty and were too good for western influences. oh. they flourished during this time because of the lack of western influences. pretty decent time up until the end when they noticed they were really backwards and kind of vulnerable to european attacks.
sorry. but i'm glad that i kind of knew that and was able to write that all down. and chances are the people correctly my essay won't even read it fully, so if i know general trends, maybe some specifics, i'll do just fine. eek. bye.
we also reviewed other random stuff like the anti-cominterm pact and sun yat-sen, which are completely unrelated. uhh, i think im gunna go review some more, but i basically have a good handle on things? i think that when i take the exam i'm gunna be @ the height of my world history knowledge. it'll be lovely, truly. fuck.
oh and i was asked to amherst prom, too. wooooo. bye.
