Dang it, I've gone too long w/o updating again.

I apologize for not updating since October 30th, but on the bright side, at least I didn't go over three months between updates like I did between May and August, right? :P

Anyway, I finally got my motorcycle to the repair shop on the day of my previous post, and then I called the shop to check on it the day before Thanksgiving. I was told that it needs so much done to it to make it street-legal that it'll cost more to repair than it's actually worth. Hey, if I could afford a new bike, I'd most likely get one. but I can't so I need to keep getting this one repaired. My dad and I will see about getting financial help (Flex Funds) for this once the shop gives me a list of needed repairs and the estimated cost. I was supposed to hear from the shop week before last, but they didn't call me.

Got a bit of bad news to report: I got aggravated and frustrated enough to self-harm last month despite the medication I'm on. I saw on Wikipedia that a new version of Apache OpenOffice, 4.1.2, was recently released, but every attempt I've made to download it has failed. Heck, I even tried to switch to LibreOffice, but I couldn't get THAT to successfully download either! So my urges to self-harm finally became too powerful for my medication to stop. *sigh* That happened a few weeks ago, and luckily I haven't had any episodes since then.

In more positive news, I managed to fix a different problem I was having with my PC early last month. For some time, Windows Update wasn't able to check for and download updates. So I thought "Maybe upgrading to Windows 10 will solve the problem." I clicked the toolbar icon to get it, and it turns out I CAN'T upgrade because my NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 integrated graphics card isn't compatible. Still, I eventually managed to get Windows Update to work after fiddling with the computer for a few hours.

By the way, I started typing this entry out in Notepad on Monday of last week, but I didn't finish it, so I saved it after the previous paragraph and didn't get back to it until tonight. I figure I should just wrap it up and get it posted tonight, so I'll talk about more stuff next update, whenever I get around to making it.

I want to mention one last thing before I go: I got a letter from the Social Security Administration regarding my Supplemental Security Income payments. There was no cost of living adjustment this year, so my payments won't increase next year. I'll still be getting $733 a month.

Oh yeah, I had to make a change to part of this post from last week. The part about "I was supposed to hear from the shop week before last" originally read "last week," but since I didn't get this entry posted last week, I had to alter it.
