I used to think i knew what clothing size i was. Then apparently womens' body shapes and sizes have changed, so the sizes had to follow. This does not help me, i am still the same shape, roughly, that i was. I tend to be rather a pear, increasingly so with weight gain (not a bad thing it's healthy, mkay). Trouble now is that i'm really not sure what size i am, in the 80s i think i would have been a 16 (well with a 14 bust). Now i seem to be more of a 12 top and 14-16 hips, hmm. (This means that i might have been struggling to find something to fit me in the fashion shops of the time, at this size. Yes things really have changed i think.)
So off i toddle to google to see if i can find size charts to ease my curiosity. I also had this odd little question in my head, was i ever a size zero? Back in the mists of time when i was 14 or 15 i was a perfect 10, which at the time was 34-24-34. It seems from what i can find this would now be more of a 2 in American, not sure in British. But no, i'm not really a zero type, so i'd like to think anyway ;o)
Do any of you wise people know where i might find any current official clothing size charts? And for historical interest, where older ones might be found?
