Time and Place

I never realized that Europe and the US have totally different days for Daylight Savings Time

This weekend, I was trying to work at a client downtown

As I drove in, there was a big ol' traffic Jam, and then it ended up that I couldn't get anywhere near my client's office. That meant 45 minutes stuck on the way in, and another 25 trying to get out of there.

I couldn't even walk in a few blocks, everything was blocked off.

It was an immigration protest.

Interestingly, almost everyone was wearing white T-shirts. I think someone must have instucted them to. But it works that way. They look less menacing, more unified, and significantly more visible for the cameras.

There were Mexican flags, but even more American Flags.

But mostly, there was a big traffic jam and I had to turn around to work another day.

I came back later that day and found out they were now working on the building's power so I couldn't go up

I came back Sunday to find out that somehow the elevators got messed up and wouldn't be working til Monday.

That was a lot of trips for nothing. Fortunately, I was able to work remotely and got some of my work done, albeit slowly.
