[Frey isn't particularly looking for a sparring partner, but upon seeing the gun, he cant help but stare in disbelief. he's only seen one once, but he knows you can't properly spar with a distance weapon, let alone something as rare and deadly as a gun. Or two. He didnt think he'd ever get used to this place.]
You want to spar with that? Don't you mean some sort of shooting competition? Like with archers?

Eh? No! Not at all!

[He swings his rather immense CANON OF A gun down into a more usable position] This is my melee weapon as well as a gun. Besides, there are plenty of people here who are more then capable of handling bullets, it's kind of annoying really.

[Using a gun as a melee weapon?!] I guess they must be far more common where you're from then. And are there really that many who can take a bullet? I've never been on the wrong end of one, but I was under the assumption it was a powerful weapon.

Of course it's a powerful weapon! It's just... some people have really strong powers. Stuff I can't do anyways.

[He hops off the ledge and sits down rather gracefully with his gun propped up alongside him] I made this myself back home, it's probably the sweetest gun you'd find... anywhere!

Yes, I can. [he pulls out his three piece staff from the pouches at his back] I’ve been using it since a very young age, so I’m reasonably proficient.

No, I understand. Us Al Bhed have been chased out of just about everywhere on Spira because we use them.

It's not really uncommon for people to be weirded out at our decision to use Machina. [He's still giving his new compatriot a rather apathetic look]

No, I don’t think you quite do. I don’t even know what an "Al Bhed" is, so I can't exactly hate it. I work with a women who uses a Gun, and she's very careful about what she does with it. there are only a handful of people, halfway across the world, who use them, and as such, they are expensive and hard to fix.

I would not have let her work in close quarters with people I care deeply about, after... everything that happened, if I chose to base my opinions of a person on their choice of weapon. It is uncomfortable, yes, i'll admit, but that is the gun and not you I am speaking of.
