My favorite painter is Carl Larsson (May 28, 1853-January 22, 1919), a Swedish painter and interior designer. Most of his painting centered around his wife, Karin, their eight children, and their house, a remarkable little place called Little Hyttnäs. His art celebrates small pleasures, holidays, and family moments, as well as the beauty of the Swedish countryside around his home. I've tried to capture both "main subjects" as well as some of the delightful details that are abundant in Larsson's paintings. I hope you come to enjoy his art as much as I do.
