re: making Sookie's non-humanness clear in this ep, well, then Eric's statement that he doesn't love humans still holds true, right? Because we've FIRMLY ESTABLISHED that she's not quite human.

Okay, sure, she'd still be making a power play even if Eric knew of Sookie's specialness, using Bill to make sure that Sookie was more tied to the Queen than to Eric. But it's still overkill. I dunno. It seemed strange to me.

I agree. It seems to imply some distrust of Eric, if you think about it.

I like that Bill has nothing to hold over Eric. His threats in the previous episode were pointless and stupid. Poorly played, Bill.

Note, he has nothing to hold over Eric BY BILL'S OWN DOING. He's the one who mentioned the blood in vamp earshot. He undercut himself with that one, all over a pissing contest with Eric that he lost anyway. ::shakes head::

she's still using Bill to get to Sookie, and Eric doesn't know that.

Are we sure he doesn't know that? I've been assuming he has a pretty good idea. Bill hasn't been very quiet about it.

Indeed it does.

Yep, which then makes me wonder why she would distrust him. I'm hesitant to believe that he did something to make her distrust him, since he's all about loyalty and he clearly enjoys his position and wouldn't knowingly do anything to fuck that up, and hell he sells V for Sophie-Anne and that's already a big no-no, so why wouldn't she trust him in this? I'm wondering if she's just being childish and playing Bill and Eric against each other because it amuses her.

I'm wondering, the Queen knows Sookie is not entirely human (I'm assuming Hadley told her Sookie could read minds, which automatically means non-human?), but does she know that Sookie is part Fey? Because when she warned ( ... )

Possibly. Or she doesn't trust him because she assumes he's after her position; why wouldn't he be?

There seems to be a big leap in here. Telepath doesn't mean non-human, so I wonder if Bill cottoned on to her special snowflakeness and passed word along. It doesn't seem smart, but then you never know with Bill.

when she warned Eric off drinking Sookie's blood, it seemed to me like she was telling him not to drink because if he did she knew he'd be immediately intoxicated by Sookie's fey blood. Hrm.I got the same impression, though I imagine this is meant to be a bread-crumb for those who don't know where it's headed. I.e. people can look back and say, 'ah-ha! She wasn't just talking about Sookie tasting good, she actually had a deeper point there ( ... )

Do we know how long Eric's been a Sheriff of Area 5 (either in the books or on the show)? I guess it's just natural to distrust someone who's under you and could possibly overthrow you, though (if I recall correctly) the book!Eric we know is happy with his position and isn't looking to advance himself. But of course it might be different on the show.

How does she know? Perhaps Bill told her about the glowy thing and she figured it out herself. Or does he know, too? Does Eric? etc. I'm thinking, if she knows, wouldn't it be smarter not to be dropping hints ( ... )

We do not. We could, perhaps, extrapolate from what Pam has said about Eric calling her back, though I don't recall if she gave any definite timeframe for that. I think it was after the Revelation. Though that might not even be helpful since Pam was just going back to help start up Fangtasia and we don't know if that coincides with Eric becoming Sheriff. In fact, I'd assume not.

the only way this really works is if Sophie-Anne already knows that Sookie is fey, which is what is throwing me off at the moment. How does she know?

That's...a really good point. Idek.
