just returned from morocco. one of the most interesting and intruiging places ive ever been to. a few memorable quotes from teh trip:
"smoke?"
"you want hashish"
"i´ll give you 10 000 camels for her" (local joking to chris and frankie about my worth in camels. someone also offered 20. pffft)
"dogs bollocks"
"primark prices!"
"cheaper than iceland! cheaper than asda!"
most of the saying are from merchants of food stalls or clothign stalls in the souk in marrakech. the souk (outdoor market) in the medina of marrakech is the biggest in the world. you could walk around all day getting lost in teh alleyways just exploring. i could spend 1000$ in the souk on jewerly, spices, carpets, lamps, clothing etcetcetc. its ridiculous how much beautiful things they try to see you. the majority of these thins would never fit in my pacsac, no matter how hard i try.
right now im in tarifa and will be heading to gibralta later today. its an english colony in spain, a pretty small town i think, and they accept the pound over the euro as currency. quite strange if you ask me.
