Las Vegas was not my typical Vegas visit. For the first time ever, I did not gamble a penny. And I almost didn't drink any alcohol. More on that later.
I got into town around 8pm, settled in my luxurious dump at the Travelodge, and went in search of food. Ah, the Bellagio buffet. Suffice it to say that this is a buffet, it costs $27.95, and it's worth it.
Then I went outside to see the Bellagio dancing fountains, and to try out my new camera and tripod. I got a new point and shoot digital camera for the trip, and I added a small tripod that fits in my pocket WITH the camera. That $20 tripod is the best thing I have ever bought. It improved my pictures tremendously. Cause what I really needed were MORE pictures of Las Vegas. But at least this time they're good.
After that, I was exhausted and hot. On the way back to the room I bought a beer, and I think it was the most refreshing drink I've ever had in my life. Sometimes an ice cold beer is exactly what you need when you're hot and tired.
Tomorrow...destination #2!
