Procrastination is expensive

About a year ago I found a tooth that was cracked and was forming a cavity, and today I FINALLY went to the dentist. I ended up needing to get a crown put on that tooth, but at least it didn't require a root canal. Two and a half hours, four shots of lidocaine (?), and $662 later I'm pretty much done. I still have to go back in a few weeks and get my permanent crown put on, but that's nothing.

At that time I may or may not have two of my three wisdom teeth removed. My dentist said one of them really isn't an issue and if it were his teeth he'd leave that one alone, so I think that's what I'm going to do. The other two he said aren't going to be a big deal to take out, and he can do it right there in his office, for hundreds less than what the oral surgeon was going to charge me.

I say I may not because I really don't want to have a tooth pulled. I've never had one pulled, so I don't know what to expect. But I ought to just get it out of the way, especially since one of them has a cavity, and there's no point in getting it filled if I'm going to have it taken out.
