Of course, I was in Juana Diaz for Three Kings Day! Many pictures under the cut.
We got there fairly early, so I decided to take a few pictures of our walk towards the plaza. Like the one below...a lonely horse under a mango tree.
One of many friquitines (places where they sell fried finger foods)
The street was still empty!
The Three Kings Entrance to the plaza.
The Mass is held outside after the procession. I am going to run in to attend the 8 am mass in the Church because we never stay for the Big Mass. Mostly because Ma and R are allergic to religion.
But they love the pageantry! And they love me who loves the Three Kings.
The AYUNTAMIENTO! Or Municipal building.
The Artisans are still sleeping.
Inside the Church
Mami with random dog
OMG!!! The Kings are coming! Empty Street NO MORE!
OMG OMG OMG!!! The Flags and....
....the triceps and the musicians....
...and more music and dancing and singing....
...and Kit Carson (he is a different story. He is a local famous person).

THE FIRST KING! OMG!
A moment of silence for Karla Michelle (The bald man and the spectacled woman next to him are Karla's parents. The man looking up is a the mayor)
OMG THE SECOND KING!!!!!!
And, YES, the most popular King, MELCHOR. Cougars in the plaza were ALL OVER him. As well as babies...By the way, the poor King fell off the horse and that is why the Kings walked instead of riding the horses.
