10. First day of basic training. There's a fuckin' reason I didn't stay in the military.
9. First day at SD-6. I think must've jumped through forty friggin' hoops tryin' to impress Sloane. If I knew then what I knew now, I woulda saved myself a fuckload of embarrassment.
8. Blowin' the hell out of that pipeline in Chechnya. Sure, we got the job done, but right in the fuckin' middle of Russian territory? You're damn right I was sweatin' bullets 'til that shit was done.
7. When that fuckin' chopper wasn't where Sloane said it'd be just when things started gettin' really hairy. You try not bein' stressed the fuck out when you got a man down and Russians all over your ass and your only hope to get out of that mess has just left you for dead.
6. First interrogation session with the Russians. Yeah, 'cause gettin' beat on isn't stressful enough, you try to convince a buncha angry Russians that you're a goddamned American citizen when your Russian sucks. Oh yeah, let's not forget the part where the whole fuckin' CIA denies your existence just when you need 'em most. That's no good.
5. If you're not stressed out when someone's interrogatin' you with the needles of fire, especially when you don't know shit and they don't believe you, then someone ain't doin' their job properly.
4. The first time I ever worked for "The Man." Here's the thing, I'm a confident guy and I don't get stressed out all that much when I'm a job, but it ain't no cake walk to go from servin' God and country to doin' the exact opposite. Not a morality thing- fuck no. More of a "Hey, what if some guys I used to work with show up or somethin'" thing. No one wants to have to shoot some old office buddy they used to hang with in the face, y'know? That kinda thing gets me a bit twitchy. I got over it pretty fuckin' quickly though.
3. Sloane. Fuckin' Sloane. Why couldn't the bastard have just broken like he was supposed to? Woulda saved me a lotta grief.
2. Havin' to watch as my entire operation got blown apart by some pigtailed little schoolgirl. I mean, it was kinda cute at first, but that kinda thing grates on the nerves after awhile.
1. Gettin' out of prison. In hindsight, it's a good story, but at the time, it was a fuckin' nightmare.
...Yeah, a lot of that coulda been consolidated into one, but what can I say? I don't get stressed out that easily.
