Home Again.

Well! I'm back again in the great City of Sails (sales?) and thoroughly depressed to be here. Off to the hospital in the morning for my next round of chemo and really not looking foward to it. This is the one that's gonna make all my hair fall out, plus many other exciting side effects that I either didn't get with the first round, or only got sneak previews of.

Plus need to go and get my chest drained again. Have been getting regular build-ups of fluid in my lungs for several months now and the latest build-up has been accompanied by a nasty whooping cough for the last 10 days or so. So... in the interest of not gettin some narstie strain of AIDS related pneumonia, I need to go and get all this fluid drained out of my lungs yet again. However, as you all know, the junior doctors are on strike till tuesday morning putting a big fat spanner in the works. Don't quite know whats gonna happen now - will find out tomorrow when I grease up the friendly nurses at the hospital (they all love me) to see what I can get done. Surely I'm classed as an acute patient nowdays???

I had a lovely time in Wellington and really didn't want to come home. I spent all my time relaxing and spending time with my Auntie and Grandmother, also a little time with my twin cousins. Was awesome to catch up with them all and spend some quality time. Burned a whole bunch of my Uncle's music which was great. I got robbed a couple of months ago and EVERY... SINGLE... CD I own went bye byes (about 150 or so). Was totally gutted at the time so is great to finally be starting to build up a collection of music again. Including stuff that I didn't have before :). The weather down there was surprisingly calm till Sunday, then packed it in, in true Wellington style. Tho I gather much of the country got it in the arse one way or the other. Still it made the flight home interesting (cue: sounds of vomiting 3 rows in front of me. I mean, for god sake, if your gonna spew... please don't accept the proffered cup of tea and bikkie from the steward. They only make things much much worse - accept only the barf-bag).

So yeah, am home again. Back to a very unsettled house full of very unsettled people. Back to hospitals, and drugs (not the fun kind) and chemo and doctors and nurses and pharmacies and running around like a headless chook trying to improve my somewhat stunted quality of life!!

Taz is sick and tired of being sick and tired.
