First Night in Chicago!
Last night was stupendous. Moving in was a lot of work and extremely stressful, what with 4 sets of Parents trying to tell us all what to do and how to do it. I was getting really snippy with my mom, and I felt bad since it was the last time I was going to get to see her in a while, but she understood which is good.
Our apartment is amazing! it's really big. Brittany's and my room is really organized and pretty. I like it a lot. She's really nice and we met for the first time yesterday. She kind of strikes me as a stereotypical blonde, but whatever, she's really nice and fun.
Jayne and Marianne, our other roomies, are really fun too. we're gonna go poster shopping today and kind of explore Chicago.
Last night before our floor meeting we went strolling around our hallways knocking on people's doors trying to meet our neighbors. it was a lot of fun. there are some... interesting kids on our floor. The guys next door are pretty ridiculous. Two of them are pretty dorky and they're best friends from St Louis. The other two think they're hot shit and are kind of asses. But they think we're cool so whatever.
We had our floor meeting and did all the basic ice breaker shit. it was kind of painful, but ah well. The ratio of guys to girls is pretty funny. we're the only girls apartment on our half of the floor and the other girls on the hall are pretty odd. I'm sure that some of them are nice, they just kind of gave us mean looks because we already knew a lot of the guys. I dunno.
After the floor meeting we ate a light dinner and then were gonna go to bed, when we decided to explore the other floors of our building and decided to find the roof. We were on the 8th floor (which is the one right above us and the top floor) when these two kind of sketchy guys were there too.... they were like "hi, we're just trying to find friends... like friends we haven't met yet" and we were like, "we're friendly!" We all found the roof and then got freaked out because there was a lot of lightning and stuff. After that we went back to our room and decided to relax for a while before taking a stroll around the city. when we left our room again, the two guys were still hanging out on our hallway waiting for us... it was interesting. Since we were a little bit creeped out we decided to invite some more of the guys from our floor that we had met so that it wasn't so sketch. WE ended up with this giant group of kids including some guys who live on the same floor as the two kind of sketchy guys, and they were really fun. One of them was adorable and looked a lot like Pasha.... it was silly. the other two were really funny best friends from the suburbs of Chicago. We walked around Millennium Park and then back to the dorm. WE all chilled on our apartment for a while and then went down to their apartment. We then met their other roommate who was also really funny. We finally got really tired and went back to our apartment and got in bed. Brittany and I talked for a while which was nice. She's really sweet, so I'm glad.
Anywhoo, I'm up early and I'm not quite sure why. I guess I just couldn't sleep anymore. I'm gonna go make breakfast in a minute. anywhoo, my first night was pretty enjoyable!
