Well went through a horrible week of worrying about my pigs.  The first suspicious event was Denali dying 10 days after she had delivered.  Her delivery went fine.  She was healthy, eating well and nursing.  So finding her passed on was quite a surprise.  Then later in the week  I find Penelope passed on.  She was a huge loss in many ways, she had

I'm going though that now. Lost 2 int. boars. And right now I got a sow who is very important to our new program that's sick she is going to vet as she has a will to live been nursing her for 3 days she is skin and bones. She's live this long she get to see the exoctic vet. Who is only here once a week. Can't see waisting time and money on a vetwho know nothing about piggies.

She didn't make it she past in the night. But am thinking about going to vet away to meet her and talk about getting some antibotics in case anyone else gets sick when she's not here. I guess she makes round in different town or something. She is supposed to be for Davis. Think this might be a good game plan.

Keep that vet appt today had another animal that got sick. She has pheumona and she's about 5 to 6 weeks preggo. Vet started her on meds. I like this vet she teachs at uc davis in ca. She said she has seen a lot of sick cavies lately. So lets hope this is our last sick piggy. all got a good dose of vit.c tonight on the recommandation of the vet. Even know that they get plenty on vit.c in thei normal deit.
