Happy Birthday to my fellow birthday sharers: mrdreamjeans, pbehr, texwriterbear, and becker_boy!
Even though I had to work, it was a pretty good day. Woke up to kisses and cuddling and some sweet gifts, like a computer Sodoku game, God of War II for the PS2, and a HD-DVD of one of my favorite movies (Dazed and Confused). Not to mention the suh-weet overhaul of my DJ table Fred did last night. It's opened up the whole room and though it still needs some additional shelves, we're both a million times happier with it. Then he says, "There's another gift, but it's kinda beg, and you'll get it tonight."
Work was made considerably better by having lunch with dhbearguy, glovercom, and squalidbear (double bonus: they paid!), who I always feel like I see less and less of these days. And after a shortened work day (my boss let me go a little early since it was my birthday), I came home and jumped on a March 22nd birthday conference call with most of the other birthday boys above. After chatting about our birthday plans for awhile, my cel phone dropped out (sorry guys!) and I started getting ready for dinner. But first, Fred had my big gift to show me in the bedroom. He made me close my eyes and follow him.
The bed. Oh man, the bed. Covered in this:
I've been seriously coveting this Adler bedsheet/sham set ever since I saw it a year ago. I knew it would look great in our room, and it does. 300 thread count sheets...heaven. Needless to say after a wonderful dinner at the Chenery Park restaurant, we broke it in...and I love it I love it I love it!
It's been a great low-key birthday...exactly what I wanted. Thanks for my birthday wishes!
