Wow.  Going to the WCHA Final Five is most certainly a whirlwind of hockey.  Overall, it's a pretty decent experience.  The XCel Energy Center is easily the best place to watch a hockey game and the WCHA is the best college hockey conference so the level of play at this tournament is second-to-none.

Game 1 of the WCHA Final Five is over.  Wisconsin knocks off Michigan Tech 4-0.  Obviously Wisconsin has/had a huge advantage when it comes to big game experience (they won the National Championship last year) so I really think that helped them tonight.  They completely controlled the game.  They will, however, have to play better than they did to ( Read more... )

Tomorrow starts the WCHA Final Five Tournament in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Tomorrow the #7 Seed University of Wisconsin Badgers will play the #6 Seed Michigan Tech University Huskies in the Play-In Game at 7:07 pm.

This weekend SCSU takes on the Gophers in the I-94 battle. The insults/trash/trolling on the USCHO thread is pretty thick...almost 500 posts in 2+ days. It's not even close to game time.

I have a feeling both games are going to be slug-fests. That doesn't bode well for SCSU.

These games just might be a slobber-knockers.

Last night, the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers upended the Colorado College Tigers 3-2 in Colorado Springs, CO.
