The World is Not Enough

Awww.  I remember Tyler Arnason when he was a lazy and overweight winger who had the deadliest wrist shot at St. Cloud State University. And now he's playing for the USA in the World Championships.  He just didn't have the work ethic that, say, a Mark Hartigan had.  If he had even half, most people would think that Arnason, and not Hartigan, was the best player that SCSU ever had.  But he liked Val's and late-night pizza delivery more than he should have and didn't really like listening to Craig Dahl (though on that...who could blame him?).  I even remember, after him leaving SCSU, he got into some trouble with Theo Fluery (they were both with the Blackhawks) because they were causing some trouble at some Chicago strip club.

It is good to see him, FINALLY, not fucking around and wasting his talent.  He breezed through the WCHA and didn't have to try very hard.  Now it seems as if he is busting his ass in the National Hockey League.  He got an assist in the USA's 5-1 stomping of Belarus today/yesterday/tomorrow (when?).  The US team is now 2-0-0-0 and will square off against the Czech Republic tomorrow/tonight.

Well, regardless of your past toils and troubles, Tyler...we are proud that you are representing our country and we still love you.  Almost as much as you love cheeseburgers.

Almost.

(btw:  with so many Minnesota and Minnesota-linked guys on the team...how is this not being mentioned in
jonnymachinegun 's blog?)
