It's hard to believe that it has been 5 years since the terrorists attacks on the World Trade Center buildings in New York City. That day is still fairly blurry in my mind. I remember some things very vividly and other things vaguely. Everyone has their own story about where they were, how they found out, etc etc. Hearing those stories never has the same effect of the day it actually happened except when I go back and read the thread on USCHO.
A lot of the news sites were down/filled that day so a lot of people couldn't get the information that they wanted. A lot of us board members went straight to the USCHO Fan Forum to see
What the Holy Hell Is Going On? Reading that thread always amazes me. How quick we were to knowing who was responsible, to the amount of misinformation, to the sheer confusion that surrounded all of us - no matter if we were in New York City, Michigan, or Minnesota. SInce it is a college hockey website, a lot of people are from the East Coast/NYC. I really remember the concern that we had for our fellow college hockey fans.
I won't tell you about my story, or my Dad's story (he was in NYC), but I invite you all (especially those who aren't USCHO'ers) to read that thread.
