Maybe someone can help me figure this one out.
Tonight as I was driving around, my cabin air fan behaved weirdly. Whenever I brake, it slows down, sometimes to almost not running. When the car idles, it runs close to or at normal speed. While driving it also runs normal speed.
I tried it with and without air conditioning (a noticeable power hog in my car) and there was no change.
At first I thought it was possessed, or that a cable was loose. But it seems to be consistently caused by braking, of all things.
Any ideas? I'd rather not have it die while I'm driving up to Kentucky. A five-hour road trip with no cabin heat isn't all that appealing.
