Ticketing Websites

Dec 10, 2007 10:20

When will the infrastructure be sorted out for tickets for major events ? Trying to get Isle of Wight 2008 tickets this morning has been a nightmare.

I had to hand it over to a sleepy Nance because I'm REALLY busy at work today, running conference calls with folks from all over Europe, so I had to concentrate on that.

I *think* Nance may have been successful, but I'm not sure (and won't be till the first call ends!!)

But seriously ... whenever tickets for a major event goes on sale, you can't get through on the phone and all the websites which we're supposed to use just fall over. It's sooooooooo frustrating and quite frankly, the companies who are being used should know there will be extra demand on their servers and should therefore cater for it!

*ahem* Corporate moment *ahem*

Clearly they need to get their infrastructure via IBM's On Demand strategy, as we can deliver extra capacity for such reasons and therefore the service wouldn't fall over quite so easily!

*ahem*

off to check with Nance now ... call is over.

soooo ... we have a confirmation number on a page where none of the graphics loaded!

TWENTY - ONE FUCKING POUNDS BOOKING FEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING?!?!?!?!?!

festivals, shopping
