(no subject)
Yesterday was rough. Mostly because I couldn't stop drinking Saturday night and couldn't get out of a conversation with my kid Mike who works at the bar and has been kind of a pain in my ass at the day job. First we were just talking bar stuff and talkinga bout the life. Dave was there and added his thoughts on things and even went into story time a little bit. But then I just couldn't get Mike to stop talking. Well, no, he did stop. At seven. In the morning.
So yeah, yesterday was kind of rough. Fortunately the boys spent most of the day at a friend's house playing so I was able to sleep until about two, at which point I awoke to Amanda making omelets. Nice. She and I then spent the day just being lazy and watching TV and having a nice day just as a couple.
So today I got my ass moving in the morning and got the lawn mowed, the kids are picking up the house, and Amanda's Dad and step-mom are supposed to be coming to see the new baby.
And to elaborate on my little text post from Saturday, my sister-in-law Kristina and her husband Eric became the proud parents of a little girl, Hailey Brooke Cepel, at 8:06 Friday evening weighing in at 9 lbs 14 oz and measuring out at 22 inches. Yeah, that's a keeper alright.
