The Life and Early Times in Mikes Life
Welcome to my new blog that will explain all of my adult life with the National Crime Syndicate. I will be discussing my Life & Times and I will be discussing my ordered contract hits on Heads of States. I was a full General Member of the old Lansky Group under Meyer Lansky in 1973. I was also Tony Acardo's go to kid, in the 1970's and 1980's on the East coast! I had done my apprentice work as a full associate from 1968 to 1973. The commission OK'ed my uping in 1973 and Meyer also made me a member of his personal group. We do not effectively function like the Italian Mafia! We, (members) are free to recruit our own soldiers as associates, but can not indivdually make them members without general clearance from the commission, at that time!! I was Meyer's flunky bag man, until I became a full member. I just chose to stay on, plus form a crew or three. Meyer had employed my father and I had known him a little as a boy. My father William A. Craft Esq., had been on Meyer's pad for years as had my fathers partner Art Kirwin, and Mike Solomon. Meyer had these men and my father fix trials, in New York State, for years before I was born. Meyer had owned Dan O'Connell of Albany until 1953. In 1953 Meyer took everything away from Dan except Albany N.Y.. Dan had made a mistake by not going to visit Meyer in Saratoga County Jail. Meyer was doing 90 days for operating all the Casino's in Saratoga, and all the Gambling in upstate New York. He only got 90 days because all mob trials were fixed in those day's. Art Kirwin had fixed that one with the help of Van Haver of Kingston, and Dan O'Connell! That did not matter to Meyer, he demanded respect and Dan did not give it . On Meyer's release, he sent word to Albert Anastasia to cancel Dan's businesses in New York state except in Albany County. Meyer left him a living. Dan O'Connell actuall thought he could buck the combination because he had a couple of hundred Albany cops! Albert sent word that he would send 500 men to Albany and wipe out the Police Force, kill Erastus Corning, and then kill Dan Last. Dan understood and said he was thankful for Albany. Paul DiCocco Sr. got Schenectady in 1954 and also became acting underboss in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, for Carmine Galente in 1958, after the "Bonono War", which gave Montreal to the Bonono Crime Family.
