On Sunday I took Helicopter ride to the Monzino mountain refuge in the Mont Blanc massive along with a work colleague and a group of other people. Apart from the epic fail of losing two mobile phones the trip was a huge success. I'll post the pictures in due course, when i've finished photoshopping out the huge blob of muck that's appeared on the sensor despite not having taken the lens off. Oh well.
It was awesome fun. After the helicopter ride we went scrambling around the mountain slopes. Something that it turned out I really needed the right shoes for. We managed to walk up close to a glacier. It was quate noisy actually, always shifting and colapsing in little bits as it melted and flowed. In fact it was hard to see where the glacier ended as it became more and more composed of rock. We got back to a lunch of traditional Italian alpine stuff, including lots of cheese and dried meat and a lovely view. After lunch lounged around and took pictures before taking the choppa back down the mountain.
I made a short video for y'all too. In glorious HD.
