I think it is funny that you brought this up cause someone has been talking to me about religion in my honesty box all day but anyway Yes apathy is a good thing and yes it takes practice but also if you feel strongly about something you should have the ablility to defend it. Merlin knows I hate telavaglists (However you spell it) and yet I understand the right they have to preach their faith and their word. I guess understanding would be a better tool. Because though you may not agree with something you understand and acknowledge that your faith or belief or ideal isn't the only one out there. Also understanding can breed love and compassion where as apathy will keep you stagnant and may result in residual hate. So I understand where you are coming from but I feel understanding is a better tool.

Yeah. Love for people and defending those you love is a good thing. It defines who you are. But What I'm saying is that you shouldnt have that kind of love for intangible things. FIghting over opinions and conjecture isn't worth it.
