This essay assumes you have seen Star Trek: TMP. It does not assume you have read the novel. In fact, the whole purpose of writing this essay is to show off the slashiness of the novel and entice others to read the book or at least flail over what they read here. Yeah um. I'm not gonna read the whole thing. You "lost" me at the t'hy'la bit. I'm gonna order the book now and read it and THEN read your analysis. Luckily I've only watched the movie once, so I can probably read the book with some of my own imagery in mind.

Gee this looks interesting though. I'll be back ;)

ETA: FML! Not available in Germany. Found an affordable used issue from a seller in the US, will take 2-3 weeks. meeeep
