Recs and talk of things that cover your legs
What I've been reading:
Star Trek
Matchmaker, Matchmaker (Kirk/Spock) - A fic put out this week that should be pimped EVERYWHERE. Basically, it's Q trying to get Kirk and Spock together because he got in trouble and the other Q want him to make it right. I know now shit about TNG or the Q besides their basic definition, but you don't have to know any of that to revel in the pure GLORY of this masterpiece. I mean, Kirk and Spock aren't even really friends at all when he starts the dating process, and the situations he puts them into...oh my god. The romance novel one with Spock in a blousey shirt and leather pants and Jim in a dress is entertaining enough, but throw in space dinners, clubbing with eyeliner and glitter, and a blue Jim Kirk fanboy? A fun ride, let me tell you.

Hold Onto Nothing As Fast As You Can (Kurt/Finn) - My favorite pairing FINALLY has a big bang-sized fic that is written extremely well. The slow build up between Kurt and Finn is highly believable, and there was so much humor in this story. It's like everything I wanted in a Kurt/Finn fanfic, very satisfying.
Also, based on how many ST fics I've read lately with Spock taking off his "trousers", I want to know if that's an indication that someone is from a country besides America or if it's also a regional America thing. Frankly, I always use 'pants' and that's what everyone else where I'm from uses too, which is why it's weird for me to read it in fic that's not from a British fandom. So, where are you from and which do you use?
