Before I start in, if you're a big fan of both Star Trek and satire, there was this awesome episode parody written for this episode and I just had to physically scan and share with you guys. It's called
Requiem for a Hack. It had me laughing my freaking ass off.
I subjected myself once again to the episode Requiem for Methuselah. I had only seen

And I like Spock's Brain a lot too. It's so slahsy!! Okay, all the "surgery" is a bit, well, stupid but I love this ep for all the little scenes of which this one is my favourite:
When McCoy asks Kirk where he wants to find the brain and how unlikely it is to find it Kirk says with so INCREDIBLY much determination "I'll find it". AAAWWWW!!! Course he does, course he would do everything to find it and this conviction in his voice and deeds!!! And how he fights the girls to find the brain and everything....*raves about*
My worst one would be probably "The Savage Curtain" as it's just so silly...
(But then I love it for Kirk's wonderful "Oh dear")
Ehr...sorry for rambling...

Oh lord, The Savage Curtain. I sort of like meeting Spock's conception of Surak, and I like how he ends up getting his ass killed because of his principles, and Spock of course, choosing to stay by Kirk's side.
I like rambling, it's practically a sport where I'm concerned. :P

And with that it's such a fun to watch.
Anyway, the line you quotet form Spock'S Brain? AMAZING. Pretty intimate and oh so lovely!! And Spock, wait til you get to touch him :)
Also, he just knows Kirk needs emotional security and as a human to hear the words.
nd Spock of course, choosing to stay by Kirk's side.
So true! Always. You could see the struggle in him, and he still was kind of awed to meet the "image of Surak" - but Kirk is the captain. Of his heart.
I actually think that the Pike/Talos affair was one of the biggest challanges for them, relationship wise.
So, I did my sport here for today :))
PS:
This rent boy icon? HILARIOUS.
