BBS! WHERE ARE ALL THE STAR TREK PODFICS?
I had a hankering for some and so I went to general_jinjur 's podfic site, sure that I could at least find a ton of TOS fics if not anything reboot. Imagine my surprise when there were only three K/S podfics. THERE NEEDS TO BE A ST PODFIC REVOLUTION. Would an LJ community help? Seriously, I've already asked permission to record a fic because I need ear candy, people.
Speaking of podfics, do you guys think it's douchey to record yourself reading your own fics? Personally, the best podfic I ever heard was read by its author, and I dunno, it's so much better to me when the author reads it because you get to know exactly how they wanted things to sound and they put more emotion into the right parts. It's so much more intimate. Personally, I wish every author recorded their own stuff. Of course this may make me a hypocrite because I doubt I'd read my own fic aloud. I'd secretly wonder if people thought I was a douchebag. But then, why not be proud of your own work? Hell, I don't like 75% of the fics I've written, so it's a very new thing for me to actively enjoy any of my own writing.
