I nearly had a seizure the other day when I read about the screenwriters need to further Spock and Uhura's relationship in STXII.

While this is undoubtly not going to stop the K/S shippers whatsoever, it's still disturbing as fuck.

God, was that fans saying that the relationship needs to be developed more or the actual writers? They'd have to really do some amazing writing to get me to like its oddballness. The best thing to do is just get them to go their separate ways, because god, I don't get it and really, what sense does it make? They just don't compute in my mind.

TBH I doubt if they'll try to replicate any key stuff like that, no matter how fun it may be

Seriously the only thing I'm worried about in the next movie is Spock/Uhura--I was cool w/ it in this one, but I just don't see how they can avoid fucking it up in some way

That is my only worry too. Well, that and them bring back Khan for fuck's sake. Talk about overdone storyline.

It's just, how can you grow something that has no roots? S/U came out of nowhere with no explanation, was written to give Spock someone to cuddle because Kirk was not his bff/bf yet. How do you expand on a canon relationship like that? You'd have to either do flashbacks to make us understand why (kill me now, I hate flashbacks for the most part) or revamp the entire thing, and really, who cares about S/U at the end of the day? Can't a woman share the spotlight without having to date one of the main characters? I want more K/S/Mc, because the BAMF trio needs to be developed, that was the heart of the show. Well, K/S/Mc is the body and spirit, K/S is the heart. Set up Uhura/Scotty, at least that was TOS canon a little and it is at least interesting. :P
