LOL YOUR ICON! :D Seriously, their love is oh so CANON. I can't even...and what makes it 1000 times better is the fact that since the show and movies are done, NOTHING CAN FUCK WITH THE CANON. Even if the alternate reality makes K/S in the future moot (which so far it has most definitely NOT) we've still got TOS forever and ever and ever.
I'm STILL having that ongoing debate with textuck about the epic love between Spock/Kirk and whether its just my imagination or if its canon. The more of TOS I see, the more I wanna go WAIT HOW IS THIS IN ANY WAY NOT EPICALLY GAY?! I don't understand how he can continue to deny it and be all "they liked women and were just good friends".
Yeah, some people will cling to their happy bubble, lol. Sometimes you just gotta move on and feel sorry for those who cannot see. Sometimes I imagine, like, what would happen if someone found a letter from Gene Roddenberry where he's like LOL I MADE KIRK AND SPOCK GAY FOR DECADES AND NO ONE NOTICED! I don't know if you've seen where Brittany (girl who does The Ship's Closet on youtube) talks about the movie posters, but seriously, it really is like they said to themselves, "Man, fuck it, let's make movie posters where they're in San Francisco with a manly warbird shooting out rainbows, or just have them beam down by a god damn rainbow. WE CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING LOL!"
And, yep, all caught up with Ship's Closet again. I laughed SO HARD when it got to the posters discussion. Seriously, could not even BREATHE I was laughing too hard.
ITS A POSTER BEAMING KIRK AND SPOCK DOWN TO SAN FRANSISCO WITH A FREAKING RAINBOW THERE IS NOTHING GAYER.
(I just noticed that in the one Voyage Home posters, there's a sign that says "No Right Turn" and half of a "do not enter" sign. That makes me LOL hardcore. Also, "do not enter" is the STRAIGHTEST thing about that poster, okay.)
