So, about that angel that is sending me to a very special place in hell right now...

I'm confused.  I was rewatching some season four episodes, and I don't get the whole "angels have no emotions" thing.  Are they supposed to be carved from marble, as Anna says, or is it more that they can't feel the complete depth of what we call emotions?  For example, Uriel gets pissed a lot.  Anna said that Castiel didn't know what sorry felt like when he said he was sorry about having to kill her.  But Castiel often shows regret, and had even laughed quietly in episode 7 when Dean made a joke.  Is he just imitating what he's seen humans do?  He seems awfully fond of humans, calling them his Father's creation, so maybe he doesn't really feel when he laughs, but does it because he logically knows that Dean made a joke and he is to laugh.

Argh.  I think it might be impossible to write a really good Castiel fic after that episode, unless you get Castiel to fall completely.  Mostly because, well, WE'RE HUMAN, so therefore it's hard to imagine not feeling a thing and only thinking about something logically.  I tried to write a little Dean/Castiel, but I kept inserting emotions into him, even small ones like boredom.  I wonder if there would be a way to understand how Castiel exists from day to day.  Since Anna has been angelfied, can she feel loss or sadness that she can't feel?  I guess she'd logically know it's better or something.  I think if Castiel could feel for a day, the first thing Dean would have him do is eat a pie.  And Castiel would be, like, ORGASMIC because yeah, he may haven eaten something, but imagine eating without feeling pleasure.  It tastes good, sure, but with no enjoyment?  About all you can do with good taste is just be okay that you're not eating mud instead.

See what I mean?  It's so hard to imagine someone without emotions.  Hell, animals have emotions.

Oh yeah, and this picture intrigues me for some reason, Castiel staring unnervingly at Dean, Sam reflected in a mirror...it's like one of those glass half empty or half full kind of things.  Either you can see it as Sam fading from the picture, possibly a reflection of himself, no longer a good guy or the center of Dean/Castiel, or you can interpret it as no matter how much eyefucking is going on thur, Sam always comes between them because Dean puts him there.
