soooo tired
today was a LLLOOONNNGGG day. i woke up around 8, got some laundry done, then got into my dad's truck around 10 and went up to oc. my brother and brian followed an hour later in brian's pilot. while i was waiting for them, i managed to get my bed taken apart, the mirror taken off of my dresser, and most of the my stuff wrapped up in that awesome cling wrap that movers use (seriously that stuff is awesome! ava's been a brat these past couple of days, and i'm sooo tempted to use it to wrap her up tight so that she can't throw stuff or try to take a swing at us... yes... the terrible two's are right around the corner!!).
anyhow... by the time my bro and brian got to the apartment all that was really left to do was to load up the car. i took measurements to choose what went where and what not... we managed to get my dresser, mirror, bed frame, book shelf, armoire and tv into the two cars. so all that's left are a couple big things and then odds and ends like a floor lamp and cleaning stuff. i think i'll officially be out by this coming friday (fingers crossed!).
the girl that was suppose to come by and buy my couches never showed up. ugh, why are craigslist people soooo unreliable. i told her if she could come and pick up the stuff today i'd take the price down from $150 to $120, which is a really good deal. and she was like, "oh yeah! i'll totally come if you'll discount the price!" stupid girl never showed up. i hope she emails me and tells me that she'll be by on tuesday, since i'll be there anyway packing up some of the small stuff. ugh, if she doesn't i don't know what i'll do with them.
at around 4:30 we drove back down to sd. i didn't want to drive over 65 cuz i was scared that my knotting skills weren't that good. so it took us a little while to get down. we managed to get home by 6:15-6:30 and we unloaded everything into either the garage or the living room. now my parent's garage looks like a furniture store. haha. when i took stuff from my sister's storage unit my dad told brian to move whatever was left into the garage. and now that i've moved back, i've had to stick some things in there too. i think i'm gonna get myself a small storage unit, cuz there are a couple things that i know won't have places to go... plus, it kinda sucks losing out on the extra parking spot in the garage... for some reason there is never any parking on our block... :-P
