Adventures Abound
The next couple of months are going to see 2 superhero movies plus Star Trek. I think it's going to be a pretty epic two months! I can't wait. I wasn't super-keen on Superman Returns but Man of Steel looks like it's going to be really good. Iron Man 3 is going to deliver the coolest never-have-in-my-lifetime technology I think, as well as badass fight scenes. The "first" Star Trek was really good and I'm sure this one will be too. A major attack on Earth will be pretty exciting... no one has attempted that since the Borg... oh wait, that already happened... no wait, it didn't... I'm confused! :)
The first trailer for the next Thor movie was released this week too! Looks like it's shaping up to be more story driven than smash-your-face-with-my-hammerish. At least that's what the trailer seems to be pointing at. I'm jealous that Jane gets to go to Asgard. I still think Thor is nice to look at, too :)
Speaking of story-driven I was surprised that the new show Vikings on the History channel isn't more of an action/slaughter spree. It's very heavily story-driven but I kind of like it. Still not sure how I feel about it but I've watched every episode. I think a part of me wants to see more of the stereotypical image of Vikings.
Finally signed my paperwork for my promotion yesterday. Should take affect next pay-period hopefully. I think in celebration I'm going to buy myself a new sword! I've been wanting to get the Sting replica lately... from LOTR and not The Hobbit. The one from The Hobbit has just as simple curve design in the blade whereas the LOTR one has runes written in it too. I also like Glamdring a lot, the version from The Hobbit and not LOTR (slight differences, including a blue jewel added to the guard).
Perhaps one of these days I'll progress into making swords...
