Happy New Year

Jan 04, 2005 18:23

Hey folks, I hope you all had a great New Year and that this one brings more global peace and love than the one that just passed. Any interesting resolutions to share?

I have several:

-To weigh between 175 and 180 pounds by Jan 1. 2006. This is definetly doable, considering I started 2004 weighing 136 and now weigh 153.

- To continue to go to the gym at least 4 times, and hopefully five times a week.

- To have a job in broadcast journalism. Rather good news on this front, I just received a phone call from Mr. Heathcote and he said that they had moved into their new place. He also said that they had a lot of space, and had my office all picked out :) However, I will not start for another 3.5 weeks as Heathcote is about to go on extended leave due to a serious injury visited upon his leg. But it seems as though I can almost definitely say I have a gig. I'll give you more details as I know them.

- To have a car. This one seems cinched now that I have a gig, but I shall not count chickens anymore as I have learned my lesson.

-To live by myself, if financially viable. This is obviously dependent on a number of factors, but I think I would like to have my own place some time in the near future.

- To spend more time on Arabic, what I’m doing now is getting it done, but I want to do better than that.

And that is how I'd like to better myself.

On a more macro level, I would like for US foreign policy to not be so misguided, for the already ravaged third world to not be more destroyed, and for Salma Hayek to become my new Arabic teacher. She wouldn't even have to know Arabic.

Alright, that is all from me, hope everyone out there in internet land is doing well.

Peace
