Foreign girl
I unfortunately woke up too late to be able to go to the beach. My mother said that she would be willing to go at 8:30 and I woke up at 9. Cuz I’m an inconceivable bastard.
But we still did have lunch out at a place called Gelatos. We’ve gone there for a long time, since we lived in Al Ain (1995-1997), but it still maintains its food quality and decent ambience. After lunch we went to see a movie called After the Sunset with Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek. I thought it was decent, nothing really new there but it had some humorous moments and Salma Hayek is still freakin ace. Anyway after watching the director find various excuses for her to be in a bikini, half naked, and entirely naked for an hour I decided something - I think I want the next girlfriend to be non-white. Not that there is anything I dislike about white women, I’ve had the luxury of having had several wonderful Caucasian women, but something about her accent and the way the sun worked its magic on her skin. I think it’s gotta be brown or I’m not gonna be down.
Gas prices are bad here in the UAE too. You think you North Americans have it bad? We’re up at around $1.20 a gallon over here…when it used to be 90 cents per gallon. The inhumanity of it.
Tomorrow brings back my Arabic classes after a week long sabbatical. I need to start going over my hw…I think I’m probably pretty rusty after not using it for a while.
