big up the ASK class of 2001bedouin_projectMay 18 2005, 17:35:59 UTC
Ahoy, let this be my public congratulations to Nesma for getting into SOAS, it just wouldn't have been the same without you. Here's to an awesome year.

thank you much! i'm really excited! and i promise to learn how to cook over the summer so we: a) don't starve, and b) don't spend our parents' life savings on take-out! trying to think of other witty things to say, but the well's dry...sorry.
but thanks again, and joe and i will be waiting for visitors! :D

So it sounds like either a) Joe and Nesma are going to room together or... b) They'll be spending lots of time over at each other's places.
What with the Arab parents situation which we all have to go through, Joe having a girlfriend, and Nesma being the vixen we all know that she is, this has all the making of a full on Egyptian soap opera. Duh duh duh (tense music).

not sure what's funnier...the thought of me and joe rooming together (sorry joe), or me being a vixen! if you must know, joe and i were going to save up so we could send you a ticket to london to come visit us. SHEESH!
k, i lied. but you're right - the presence of two Egyptian ex-ASKers can't be good for london's reputation.

several points (ever since getting an office job, I'm all about the numbered lists):
1) Psh, as if Nesma would have me!
2) Yes, we will be spending a lot of time over at each other's places, but only because Nesma will be cooking for me while I do her ironing (we've worked out a deal)
3) I just realised that "while I do her ironing" can sound like a double entendre and want to clarify that I probably did not mean it in that way.
4) There isn't really a "4" but once you get going on these numbered lists, it's hard to stop.
