(no subject)
Kathy mentioned to us yesterday that our old apartment in Benicia made it on the front page of the Benicia Herald. The article was talking about how the company that was hired to fix the water main was fired and about the damage that the flood caused. One family (our neighbors) are still living in the best western and the paper did mention that another family chose to find a place somewhere else (US!). After reading that article though, andy and i were very happy that we found this apartment. Apparentely, it's going to take another 60-90 days from yesterday to finish up the apartments. umm, yeah, holy crap. If we hadn't found this new place, we would still be living in the hotel and frustrated because we were living in a hotel.Yeah, there's a big sigh of relief.
Anyway..it's time to CLEAN!! i'm going to make ornaments and start cleaning our apartment. we got a vacuum cleaner from my parents for christmas, so we get to play around with that tomorrow morning. But this apartment really needs to get cleaned especially for new years. anyway..ornaments and cleaning today. i think i'm also going to watch commentary on Little Miss sunshine (Andy gave it to me yesterday for christmas =)..along with a very beautiful ring that he made sure to tell me that it's not an engagement ring..but it's very pretty and exactly what i wanted.)
i also want to go to ballet at some point. i think they'll be open this week..maybe even today, but i actually don't know. maybe i'll start going again after the holidays..seems a little easier since i never know what their schedule is.
anyway, off to shower.
