Some Fiji Flora for Sapphire

Apr 03, 2012 23:22

Two posts in one day! This is a record for me. So it's still pi..ing down rain, as my husband would say so here's some pretty flowers to brighten up your day and mine. My daughter left today after an emotional few days with us. She misses her bf and is breaking up with him when she goes to London in 10 days. She was so looking forward to coming here and relaxing, getting massages, swimming and she even bought a new bikini for the occasion. She was going to try snorkelling for the first time too. So we've sent her home this afternoon and I'm hoping her flight has left. It was difficult getting her a flight so hope she arrives safely home. It's been a traumatic day for us but we're off to dinner tonight with my son and his bf, his sister and her hubby and my friend, Carol. So that should be lots of fun if we don't get drenched in the mean time.

The last two are part of the ginger family and what I buy for FJD5 every week for home. That's about AUD3 and there's a dozen flowers in each bunch. An elderly Fijiian lady brings them down every day from the mountains to sell outside the wine shop where we shop most weeks.

And I know these are frangipanis because we have them in Oz.

And some water lilies from the Sofitel where we stayed a few weeks ago.
