So, we are out of the much-loathed Fes and on to Meknes!
I scratched one of the lenses on my glasses on the rack of our taxi on the way to the train station. Kind of irritated at that, but I brought my other pair with me so I'll be OK. Figures that Fes would make one last go at ruining my day though.
The train was both very comfy and cheap. I'm kind of looking forwards to the trip to Marrakesh now; sitting in a comfy chair, listening to music and watching the countryside go by sounds like my speed. In the meantime though, we've got a few days in Meknes
My initial impression is that things here are pretty laid back. Our hotel is nice, though less impressive than some places we've been. We did expand our food horizons a bit; and had this sandwich/pita-esque things filled with grilled meat and veggies and rice for lunch. Tasty and cheap, but also the spiciest food we've eaten here.
Hmm... not much else to report. We don't really have any specific plans for what we're doing here, today will probably be taken up mostly by exploring and getting our bearings. At some point before we leave though, I am intent on seeing Volubilis.
