Finals done. No dispute over the pwnage of my physics final, but I have no clue how i did on my comparative religion one.. I was waffling between a B and A in that class, so we shall see. That class totally kicked ass though.. having been raised secular and always considering myself nonreligious and thinking the idea of an anthropomorphic Caucasian male God absurd/ridiculous, the class was particularly interesting. It started out as though I was auditioning god / religious ideas, and in the end, it just seemed to have awakened me the the god i've always known. God seems to just be an alternative to the ego/survival instincts, something we all have the capacity to understand and identify with. The Abrahamic parables will speak to us all, i think, if we don't actually take it literally, and the eastern concepts of dharma and tao also speak to us all. It seems as though religion and spirituality are an inseperable part of the human experience and serve to bind us all together. Certainly, I feel much closer now to religious "kooks" and have a better understanding of my common ground with them.
