Its hard to not remember, its hard not to think of the pain that broad sides you when a friend is so tragically erased from the earth. Its hard to forget how hard it was during and to move on from such a difficult time in your life. To know the people you care about the most are going through the same is just nostalgia of what you went through, and you cant help but relate to their pain. Though I don't necessarily believe in the church or everything the Bible has any literal means, some of the stories really do hold true to real life situations... Do you know why Jesus weeped? When Lazarus died, Martha and Mary held his body and cried. When Jesus saw their pain he couldn't help but cry himself. It wasn't his connection to Lazarus that brought him to cry, but the simple truth that the people he cared about the most felt such a pain, and he knew what they felt and couldn't help but weep with and for them. Over the past week I cant help but feel the same. It is hard to lose a friend, and to re-live those memory's is a scary reminder of how fragile life is, how easily it can be taken from us, and how happy we should be that we are still here to hold on...
