Yeah, I should have written this essay back when I first got Bob in. Oops.
Canon identifies
capoeira as Bob's fighting style. I'm assuming this means he has a style that's an awful lot like capoeira, since the odds that he was formally taught in this style are fairly slim. A quick look at youtube gave me
this, which gives a good example of how fights with Bob look. There's a lot of spinning, kicking, jumping and random headstands. There isn't much of an emphasis on punching unless he's trying to look particularly macho, although he'll still do so if an opening presents itself. In the end, the style looks a lot like break dancing with some kickboxing and random gymnastics thrown in.
Youtube was my friend today and had other videos showing more or less what capoeira looks like right on the first page of my search!

Tenjou Tenge being an Oh!Great manga, there are questionable physics involved. Conveniently enough, Bob can feel his opponent's vibrations through the ground, and that's the rhythm he works off of when he's dance-fighting. I imagine he'd have trouble against anyone attacking from the air, but he can feel when a stationary girl swings her blades at him and hear the blades themselves move towards him. (

In summary? A six and a half foot teenage boy jumps around and feels you coming. Bob likes to
kick people and
dodge via handstands. He's fast -- I honestly thought he'd just be another slow musclehead when I first saw him, and while he is physically the strongest member of the Jyuukenbu, he's also perhaps the most acrobatic and flexible. I guess this makes up for his lack of ki powers.
PS: If you're reading this, app that girl Bob fights in those images. She's awesome.
