Hey look, an update.

Okay, here's another post. No promises of me updating more frequently or anything like that.

For the upcoming future:
Tonight I've got a bit of a run around to do. Right after work, Stas and his brother are coming byt o pick up the 36" monitor I got from Ben. It really is an impressive piece of hardware, but it's far too large and unnecessary for me to keep. After that, I plan on cleaning my bathtub and sink before Phil calls. Then it's off to Oakridge to return a video game I bought and maybe exchange it for another. I've been looking for more games to buy for my gameboy. I enjoy having it, but I never play it, as I only really have one game. I figure if I can find two or three games I like, I'll start getting my money out of the thing. After that it's off to Costco to stock my bar up a little bit. Phil owes me a bottle of Rum and I'm running low on Vodka, and I still need a few more of the basics: Gin, Tequila, Vermouth, Brandy, Bourbon -- you know, the stuff I don't usually drink. I'm probably not going to grab it all tonight, though, for monetary reasons (I'm not too keen on dropping over $200 on alcohol I probably won't be drinking). I'm also probably going to buy a rug, and maybe some shoes. I really need shirts, too. I had just recently (October/November) bought a whole new batch of shirts, about $120 worth of clothes, to replace some of my shirts that were ripped or starting to wear. Unfortunately, every singe one of them has shrank in my parents' washer/dryer and now none of them are usable. For now, I'll just have to stick to the new shoes, which I also really need.

Then it's back to my apartment to finish up the two most troublesome parts of my apartment: the toilet and the bathroom floor. I'll also need to swiffer, clean the range, and vacuum (which reminds me, I need to call Mario). So why all the cleaning you may ask? The coworkers here are having a potluck party, and my apartment is not only sizable enough, but also just a hop, skip, and jump away, not to mention well outfitted (surround stereo, nice TV, full bar, two video game consoles, two computers, lots of DVDs).

To finish out the night, I'll probably just take an hour or so to catch up on my reading. Tomorrow's the party and I'm looking to go out on Friday night. My mom said something about visiting this weekend, but I'm pretty sure most of her reasons for wanting to come will get taken care of tonight. Either way, it would be nice for them to visit. For some reason, it seems like I'm always visiting them but they're never visiting me. Then again, I think they get a little bored coming up here. They're not used to walking around downtown (last time they came, my dad started complaining), and I'm not sure my mom's hip to my apartment's decor. Her taste in interior design leans more toward the whole "clean, organized, and appealing" side while I prefer a "fuck it, that's good enough" feel.

And a quick recap of the last few days since I've gotta go to a meeting in five minutes:
Drove home Sunday night no problem. Woke up monday, went out to the car to go to Oakridge and pick up Phil when I found out I had a flat tire. I change it to the spare that was in the trunk, but now I've got to remember to find a tire place to get the flat replaced (can't repair it, I had to drive on it around the corner to get to a place with enough room to change the tire). i think it just hit something on the freeway on the drive home that made a small leak, so I didn't notice it Sunday aftr I got back, but I did on Monday after it'd been sitting for about 18 hours. Tuesday was a normal day at work, and today's been alright, too. Well, off to the meeting, then on home.
