the entire time I watched it i was writing new songs in my head, so inspired by the film. every word was a new lyric. and when it ended, I could stop crying for the pain and beauty in the world. i had to walk to the beach and just sit there and cry. then i wrote some bad poetry, had a crisis of meaning, came home and wrote an intentionally fake suicide note and then worked out

I don't think you can look at your life right now and find a real purpose. My purpose is pretty broad
But when you are old and look back you will realize your purpose

it's almost as though life's meaning is the collection of effects all your choices have on the world around you

so the question would be 'how do you want to be remembered?'
which leads to 'what do you want to do' & 'what do you want to be' & 'what will you not regret'
answering these questions and then making the answers a part of your life would be what I think life's purpose it
purpose is the act of creating meaning

assuming we can only live in this moment (as i have yet to see someone live outside of or just before or after this moment) then one would live in moment the life they would want to look back upon fondly
and life becomes a balance of being happy now and being happy later
